ARTIST STATEMENT
In this new body of work 'The very heart of the matter', I continue to make works that are a physical / poetic equivalent of extreme emotions.....Emotions that arise and surprise us with their intensity.....The works are "aftermath" an aftermath of a dialoguethat is a physical process,,,,,
My work has always been arrived at by assuming an emotional range. And a range of physical possibilities.....I force the Physical and the Emotional to mix and engage in anExchange… " A dialog of Making” in Mixed Media…..This battling back and forth, from state of emotional being to manipulation of appropriate media, is the procedure that allows me to bring such intimate personal experiences from a private to a public place. "The feeling of your heart not being in your body is dire….The feeling of your heart leaping in your body is Unequalled".

Donna has had several solo and group exhibitions in Ireland and around the world that include, Death and Desire in 2007, Sirus Art Gallery, Cobh, Co.Cork and Impressions, Galway Arts Centre in 2006.
