Statement
My work is concerned with creating an understanding of the experience of the physical space we inhabit using photography.
The formal studies that make up my most recent body of work reference the language of modernism, encountering your own presence in the space. They are sustained investigations of a material and its infinite possibilities. Light as my material, light as the material of the photograph, light that has no material substance and is illusary. Floating spaces embedded in the surface, inscribed on the very surface they are taken from. This body of work is a configeration that formalises my enquiry.
That refinement is what I am presenting to the viewer.
