Backwater Welcomes 5 New Members.
Backwater Artists Group welcomes 5 new members in July/August 2010, Lorraine Nesson, Roseanne Lynch, Jo Kelly, Brían Crotty and Paul Delaney.

Ciarán Langford Memorial Bursary & Post Graduates Awards
Fergal Cunningham & Molly Anna King have been awarded Ciarán Langford Memorial Bursary Awards in 2010 and will take up studios at Backwater for six months. Brigid Delahunty and Laura Healy have received Post Graduate Awards with Backwater and will take up studios for nine months.

20 Year Celebrations in 2010!
Backwater Artists Group is 20 years old in 2010 and as part of the numerous celebrations planned we will have an exhibition in the Crawford Gallery. The show which has been selected by Vera Ryan and Stephen Brandes will be opened by Minister Martin Cullen on March 12th at 5.30pm and runs until April 10th. It will include work from over 120 artists who either currently have a studio at Backwater or who have passed through at some stage.
