Statement
Megan
Eustace graduated from C.C.A.D. in 19996 with first class B.A.
Hons. Fine Art Painting; when she was awarded the Barry Maloney
student of the year. She had her first solo show 'How many are
there of you?' in the Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, Project
rooms Cork (1997), and has since been represented by the Paul
Kane Gallery, Dublin.
She was selected for 'Volume' 1997 at the Crawford Municipal Art
Gallery, and was one of six artists along with Tony O'Malley and
Janet Mullarney, selected for the Lavitt Gallery show 'Talking
Sketchbooks' in 1998. In 1999 she was selected with 10 other emerging
artists for 'First Look', curated by Patrick Murphy at the R.H.A.,
and was also included in the international drawing exhibition
'Drawing Thinking' at the R.H.A. that same year.
Last year Megan had a solo show 'Cleave'2004 at the Fenton Gallery,
Cork.
Most recently Megan had a solo show 'Why me, why not me?'2005
at the Paul Kane Gallery, Dublin. Currently, Megan's work will
also be represented in the 'Passing Through' exhibition at the
Lewis Glucksman Gallery, Cork, along with artists selected for
exhibition from Crawford graduates of the last 25 years.
Megan Eustace lectures Life drawing at the Crawford College of
Art & Design Cork and recently was invited to lecture the
same at the R.H.A. in Dublin.
