Statement
Brigid Delahunty graduated with an Honours Degree in Fine Art from the Crawford College of Art & Design in Cork. Her background is of mixed nationalities, her father being French and her mother Irish. Brigid grew up in France in the Loire Valley and has now been living in Cork for over twenty years. Her work reflects the feelings of isolation and emptiness that one can experience in this fast-moving world. Brigid received a post graduate award with Backwater Artists Group for 2010/11. In 2010 Brigid was a selected artist for the fledgings exhibition at the Lavit Gallery, Cork. She also exhibits work through the Boathouse Gallery, Kinsale, Co. Cork. She won several purchase prizes including eli lily, OPW and CIT.
